Hey Kids, What Time Is It? Time For A Giveaway, Buffalo Bob!

Yup, I haven't done a giveaway in awhile and since I did get all that nice glass recently, I thought the least I could do was give some away.  Happily, I've already sold several pieces at the antique mall so I can afford to be magnanimously generous.  Well, that's probably overstating it but what the heck.

Here's what you get if you're the lucky winner!

This cute little double ruffle rim ruby hobnail Fenton vase is 3" tall and is a beautiful rich red.  However, when you hold it up to the light, there's a really neat band of yellow, too!

It's marked Fenton on the bottom and also has the paper label--I bought it at the Fenton auction I attended while at the convention, I got a good deal on it, and I know someone will love having it in their home.

Soooooo, all you have to do to enter is (1) be a VintageChristine follower, and (2) leave a comment letting me know you want in.  How easy is that?  I'll pick the winner on or about Sunday, August 14, so leave your comments soon.  Good luck!

P.S.  I'll be adding an additional goodie or two, so if you don't get the vase you might still get lucky!

Seriously, my house was built in 1904, I've decorated straight out of the 30s and 40s and this would look awesome in my house. Pick me! Pick me!

  7. Ya know, I read in a magazine that there's a bunch of Americans in our country who would give their mukluks and moose muffins for that vase. Ya think I want that red vase? You betcha! (Did I mention I can see it from my house?)

  19. That's really a nice piece of Fenton.

I think the yellow you see is really amber, and I think what you have is a piece of amberina, a style of glass where ruby and amber merge somewhere on the piece (sorry if you already know this, just want to give a bit of background).

It's a lovely little bowl and a great find. But, if you could NOT include me in the giveaway that would be awesome. If you saw my home, you'd probably think it's a satellite Fenton museum!!
