Chirp Chirp Chirp (That Means I Love You)

First off, I want to thank each and every one of you who read and/or commented on yesterday's Rant #475 (I'm not really keeping track, that number just sounded right).  YOU ARE ALL AWESOME!!!!

Second, I made a little button for everyone to put on their blog if you'd like to proclaim to the world that you love little Melvin--if you don't know who he is, you need to start following my friend Anna's blog (although most of you already do) over at Chickens In The Basement.  She's hilarious enough as it is but now there's this darling little chickie addition to her chicken herd (yeah, I know it's technically a flock but I like the sound of "chicken herd").

Just wanted to share images of an absolutely beautiful vintage lace dress I found hanging on a door ON A WIRE HANGER (Joan Crawford would've had a hissy fit!!) at the estate sale I went to recently.  The ribbon detail at the waist is so pretty, and of course it has an underslip for modesty's sake.  By the way, this is MY door and that's not the wire hanger it was on.

By the way, Boo has been removed as the President of the Melvin Fan Club.  When I saw him on the kitchen table (yeah, I know some people think this is wrong but oh well) next to my brand new atomic ashtray on a cute little metal stand I thought, "Well, that's just as cute as can be" and grabbed my camera.
So, what's the big deal, you ask.  How did THIS cause the Presidential expulsion?

After I took the photo, Boo looked at me, smiled, and said, "Won't Melvin look yummy all barbequed up and sitting on this serving plate?"

Yer outta here, cat!!!!

  10. Wow love that dress! I love the new look of your blog! So bright and perfect for summer. I can't believe you know the pilot from one of my favorite movies. That is such a great bit of trivia to share at parties! Hope you are doing well honey. Kori xoxo

  12. Hey Chris!

I have just gotten home from the world's longest high school band concert ever. I need a shower, couldn't find Melvin but found him on my second look, and spilled red fingernail polish on white carpet...that's why I'm on -line. I have to find out how to get it off before somebody notices. Right now, dirty clothes are piled on top of the stain!

Tomorrow, I will add the button to my blog! You rock for doing this. Who knew Melvin would have his own fan club!
