1955 February Calendar Pin-Up! And a Dad Update . . .

How awesome is THIS?!  No candy for this cutie! I'll try to remember to post these each month since I have the entire year (minus December, dammit).

I'm sorry to report that Dad has been admitted to the hospital.  Here's an email I just received from my sister:

"Just talked to Judy and Dad is getting admitted. They're going to do an MRI because they think the infection could be in the bone. I hope that doesn't mean what it sounds like it could mean, but we'll see. Judy said she'll let me know the room # asap, so I'll either email you if I'm still here, or call you later. She also mentioned that two of your blog pals' cards came the other day and two more today - Dad wrote the first two back! So cute!!
Later, Sis"

The doctor actually wanted Dad to go to the hospital about two weeks ago when this infection started acting up but Dad has had about ENOUGH of hospitals so he promised the doctor that if the infection got worse, he'd go.  It did, and he went.  Now they'll pump him full of antibiotics and hopefully, since he's much stronger than other times with infections, he'll be able to fight it off better.

Dad firmly believes in the power of prayer, GJB Fan Club members.  Please remember him in yours, and I'll keep you updated.

Thank you SO MUCH for writing to him!

  6. Ditto on the get well cards. Sending love and strength his way. Your Dad is the only person I know who has a zillion followers but doesn't even have a blog. How cool is that?

  12. Hi there - I just dropped by from Living Retired in WNYS. I saw your post there and decided to visit, since I'm a vintage lady as well!
Sounds like things are a bit rough right now. I'll add some prayers for your dad.
