I'm Trying Not To Be a "Beach" About This, But For Pete's Sake!

We decided that we wanted a condo at the beach in Florida.  Apparently we are the ONLY people in America who were not aware that the condo market in THIS ONE STATE has completely bottomed out and when lenders hear you say "Condo" and "Florida" in the same sentence they either scream and hang up on you or laugh hysterically and hang up on you.

Do you know how much hair I have left on my head?  NONE!  I tore the last of it out yesterday when, yet again, our credit union informed me that nope, we haven't assigned a loan counselor to your application yet (which was filed with them on Monday) and yes, we see right here we told you we'd put a RUSH on it.  It seems the word RUSH in credit union-ese means "we'll do it faster than it takes for an ice cube to melt in Siberia."

Just when I thought I was going to have to sic Raven from RuPaul's Drag Race on them (cuz you know there's no meaner bitch in all the world than my beloved Raven), I found a lender who just might work out.  In fact, the girl I spoke with practically invited me to her wedding on the beach in Destin, FL in June.  Well, not really, but we did bond pretty good.

Isn't she just IN-CRED-DIBBLE?

I'm going to be doing alot of this today and for the foreseeable future:

And some good vibes from my bloggy pals wouldn't hurt, either!

  2. Oh you lucky little beach! A condo in Destin, my favorite DESTINation in all of America! A beautiful beach area. I would think you could get a very good deal on anything in Florida right now. Best wishes and think of poor Ninny as you close the deal and, with keys in hand, gleefully step over the threshold to change into your bathing suit and sun hat!
