Planters and Ashtrays and Pitchers and . . .

I saw this little piggy planter at a flea market the other weekend and before I could ask how much it was, the vendor yelled FIVE DOLLARS so of course I had to get it!  It has some remnant cold paint on the eyes and mouth but what I really like is the color--I'm just a sucker for green ceramics.  It could be McCoy but since there are no identifying marks I'm not going to assume anything.

Now this little ashtray is just waaaay too cute.  This was from the Slidell Louisiana "Old Towne Antiques & Collectibles" fete last  month.  The paint is perfect, not a ding or a chip anywhere.  For some reason it reminds me of one of those cartoons from the 40's with little South American birds singing away like the Andrews Sisters.  Don't know why, just does.

OK--this ashtray is incredible.  From the Slidell show, again in pristine condition and with a UCAGCO sticker, to boot.  Screams mid-century.

This beautiful cream color milk or water pitcher is awesome!  Love the black squiggles.  On the bottom, it's marked "P11  Brush USA", which dates it to between 1938 and 1965.

And finally, the vases.  I bought a pair of these beauties and I totally love them.  Glass, with a nubby turquoise overcoat and gold stars.
